In addition to that, you may qualify to vote in elections in your adopted home. Any EU citizen resident in Portugal is entitled to vote in the Portuguese Municipal elections provided they have been entered on the electoral roll.
EU citizens in Portugal may also vote in the European Parliamentary elections (next election, 2009) to elect their choice of Portuguese representatives in the European Parliament.
