Are there any good art shows and exhibitions on at the moment?

I've seen plenty of good ones down here in the past.

If you can get there, there is an exhibition at Faro Municipal Museum called 'Modern South' that I enjoyed. I'd recommend that.

And there's anew show opening at the Sao Bras Museu on 14th November.

They normally have good things there.
