Algarve - Good cheap meals (Page 2): The AngloINFO Forum

On the road from Tavira to Sao Bras there are two good and not expensive places. the frist you come to is the Quinta Fonte Do Bispo, it is on the rifhr at Fonte do Bispo.. Who have Bistro food from 5 euros every day lunch and evening. they also do a good Sunday lunch , 10euros main meal and a Rib Eye steak night with all the trimmings on a Friday 10euros.. tel 281971484. The other favourite is the "Horta" on the left as you are just coming upto the roundablout that takes you onto the by-pass at Sao Bras. Lunchtim psecials and could filling evening meals. There steak on the stone is very good at 12 euros and they have a good selection of meals, and the house red is good too!! They are closed Thursday evenings

If you like garlic prawns the best ones I have ever tasted are at the "Forno" in Sto. Estevao, turn left at Quatro Estradas coming from Tavira on the EN370 to Sao Bras. Lots of other good meals at very reasonable prices
